Hi folks I've been working on my 1970 Maverick the plan is street and strip. I bought a 73 for the 5 lug and an 84 F150 for the 302 things are moving along at a snails pace due to weather but it's getting warmer and getting ready for real results. Yes I have extra parts PM me what your looking for I may have it, nothing show quality.

Thanks for the welcome folks. I'm busy trying to find info on changing the 5 lug front brakes off the 73 to the 70 which is 4 lug any links in perticular?

I believe it is a straight forward swap. Nothing custom. Are the 5 lug 73 brakes disc also?

Both are drum I'm wondering about the spindles bearings and seals If they're all the same I'm going to do an Irish jig for 2 1/2 hours.

You could just change out the entire spindle/hub/drum/brakes/hose - that way you know you got it all - this would have been a good time to upgrade to disc brakes if you had them.

I have no need for discs and being a T-Bucket Guy I know what's involved both $$$$$$$$$$ and labor. I have the 5 lug set up came on the '73 I'm just hopeing I don't have to go any further than the backing plate for the swap, better yet would be just the drum swap but I fear that's just a dream. I haven't even looked at them yet just planning ahead.
