Some have mentioned a need to consolidate the different wheel and tire combos that users are/have used. So I whipped up this GUI as a front end to a simple database to help bring this information together in a user friendly manner. Im thinking it would be run from a simple web-server so everyone can access it to add his or her information, along with a database viewer to display the information.

What do you think so far?

    What should I add/remove?

Remember, this is just to enter/edit wheel and tire information, I have not messed with the viewer as of yet. There will ofcourse be some buttons on the bottom, like Submit, Quit, etc.

Looks great! Especially the special notes, where we can add if a different rear end is used, what brakes, lowering mods,etc...

Another thing to note is the make and model of the tire, Since it does matter.

Good idea. I'll add that in.

I was also trying to add big tire sizes for slicks... but then I figured that required tubbing, which kinda defeats the purpose of this tool anyway. So for now I am going to exclude non traditional tire sizes.

You can get the BS by measuring the wheel. The best way is to remove it.

So what I don't know is how forgiving the form should be. Obviously having all the information is most beneficial.

    What do you think?

Here is the GUI so far. Im gonna compile it and start working on the python for it. I put in a staggered check box, so if you are running the same sizes front and back, then you only have to enter the info into the fist box, and it will change to read "Front and Rear Wheel and Tires Sizes" or whatever. The lower box will be greyed out, etc.

    Any other ideas?

Could there be a spot to paste a side and rear profile of your car without posting a link? If you see the picture first and like the look you can then check out the info to achieve the same look for your car.

That makes sense, I can try to implement that.

I little update, Stefan and I have been hashing out an idea for a web-based version, because my python version would be difficult to port over to the webserver. When I get time, I am working on the web-based version and the subsequent database that will store the info.

    Updates as they develope...
