ive always wondered if you swaped the spindels to the oppisite side if the steering arm is close or if it could be adapted some how.

I wondered that too but the way they are designed it wouldn't work. There is an angle to the struts and where they mount on the spindle that would cause big problems.

Went to the muffler shop - got new 2 1/4 pipe, new Cat Converter, and new Turbo muffler. Muffler dude confirmed that the Cat was the original '76 factory cat. Run much smoother now and has noticable power difference.

Also attempted to trade out the mirrors, but the screw holes are too far apart for the new mirrors. Gotta drill new ones. No time today.

Went out in my portable garage last night unlocked the door got in shut all lights turned on the tunes and meditated for a half hour. I do this from time to time during the winter seems to take me back a few years if only for a few minutes.

I have had some trying times lately and it just seems to help, sorta my quiet time.

Drove it, like I've done most every day for the past 5 years. It's final days are coming soon though.

Nice work. Can't hardly tell the switch is there, ditto on the fuel tank...:thumbs2:
Too cold, cloudy and damp here to get much enthusiasm to go to the garage.

Sorry the the double post, can't help it...I had a great day!

I got to ride in member RobbieRacer's 72 Maverick Sprint today!!! :thumbs2:

    What a sweeeet ride!

I delivered an original 72' Maverick muffler to him, that came off my 72' Grabber, and it has a large oval/cursive "Ford" logo, along with the words "Maverick" stamped into into the muffler.

Robbie was also kind enough to show me a whole wall of trophies that he has won drag racing over the years with his Mustang.

I also purchased a 5 lug/3.00 rear end, hub to hub, with all the mounting hardware, from a 73 Comet, from one of the parts yards in the Phoenix valley.

I'm looking forward to the next Arizona meet with the Cruise on Central!

I'm also closing in on gathering all the "hardest to find" parts, that I want for the upcoming restoration of my 72" Maverick Grabber. I started 2 years ago, and I hope to be ready to begin late this year, or early next year. I have set an original goal of 5 years.

I am already gearing up now for sub-projects like my 71' comfortweave seats, and various other stuff, that I can do within my budget and space. I will post pics of my seats when I get covers back from Fred Carello, and piece everything together on them.

Took off the grille for a good scrubbing. Need to make/get some new gaskets for the sport lamps.
