who makes the best quality/ best fitting after market rear spoiler for the maverick? I'd love to find an original equipment set but they all seem to be a little to pricey for my limited budget. I'd also like to find a chin spoiler if anyone knows who makes one that can be made to fit and still look good. Thanks
If you can't find a reasonable factory spoiler, then the only decent aftermarket one will also be out of your reach.
Rear Spoilers aftermarket [I can understand why they're no longer available. I bought a set , and they were so thin that after they were painted and the car sat in the sun for few hours the trunk spoiler "rippled" .. Also the fender extensions didn't line up with the body in several places. I took them off , sat them in a corner and they're still there. I had to search for an original set and when I found them I cleaned them up , primered and painted them and installed them onto the car. They fit GREAT ! .. Almost like they were made for it .. I find that very surprising, did you bring up the issue with him? He doesn't seem like the person not to back up his products.
Bringing up issue.. Nope ! Why bother ? The pieces didn't work , and there is nothing he could do to make them work. They're too thin , and do not have enough ribbing to keep their shape. They fit poorly. I needed these pieces to complete my project so I found some "real" pieces and did so. No big deal, I probably could have "made" his work if I worked with them and had some reinforcements fiberglassed on the inside but I didn't have the time to do this. They're carbon fiber anyway and I'm not familiar with that material. I've read glowing reports of his work on this forum by others and I too wish him success. I'm stating .. they didn't work for "me" and I wouldn't buy anything from this guy again. Cometized
