Sorry to get back to the forum this way but I finally got the Viper Maverick out of storage last week and if I get it roughly assembled...it will be on the cover of Hot Rod Magazine as a project car!
I'm missing a stock grille and need to find one in Southern California ASAP. If anybody has one I can buy or rent it would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,

Unfortunately all I have is Comet grilles or I'd be happy to help. Nice car, good luck.

I was on staff there for six months or so...out on my own again but still working with those dudes! Great group of guys there right now.
Thanks for the offer too...if nothing turns up local I may need to buy one from you and spend a little to get it shipped!
    Thanks again!

Hey, the grille on our Mav's are kind of distinctive...without that it would be a gaping hole! (that's what she said!!!)

I have a real nice early grill with emblem here in Phoenix az. I havent thought about sellig it but if you pay shipping you can use it or maybe buy it if I/We decide to. I'm in no hurry to get it back since I put the later year grill on. here's a pic of the grill, its up in the attic right now.

    I know, right! LOL
It's just nice to have the car back in my own garage so that I can start in again...I got stuck with an 82 Camaro that I spent too much time and money on making a track day car and will sell that to get the Mav running.
Yeah, it will be cool to have a Maverick on the cover of Hot Rod this Summer!
