    My girlfriend and I drove it to NC Tuesday, worked on my truck and did a bunch of general running around and goofing off for several days, and drove it back home this morning. Put about 500 miles on it this week. Was really hoping to be driving the truck home instead, but she had to work today and I ran out of time. Hopefully be driving the truck home in a few days, and at that point the Maverick is officially retired.

    Finished the new seat covers on my rear seat bottom. I thought I wud start on the seatback but my hands are tired from squeezing the hog-ring pliers.

    Started putting disk brakes on front of my 72 ,but noticed bad control arm bushings,one tie rod end,and a leak in the steering pump.so much for goin to Byron next weekend,unless i get really inspired.

    Finished removing the front drum brakes, front suspension and steering gear in prep for disk brake swap and suspension and steering rebuild.

    Had some trouble with the bushing on the drag link end of the idler arm. Had to use heat to get the strut rods out. Melted rubber is a MESS!! Should be more fun now working with new parts.
