Thought about that but decided with all of the chassis modifications and a Viper engine...the more bone stock the exterior looks the better. I even fit the engine under the standard non-Grabber hood!
A stock Mav with the right stance is a very handsome car.
I even have to undo the holes I cut in the rear panel for the Shelby tailights to put stock Maverick lights back in.

If you end up needing it let me know. I sent you a text also to the number on your first post. I'm not on the board much at night so if it comes down to the wire and you need it then give me a call or message and I'll get it shipped out.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
If you need to borrow a 71+ grabber style one i'll lend you mine. But it's different than the 70 style. Hope something works out!

maverick_assy2.jpg Here is a pic of the car right now. I bought Ryans grille and he shipped it from AZ Saturday, should get here just in time.
Thanks to everyone who offered help or encouragement!
Quick question...I can't figure out how to attach the trunk lid. I haven't touched the car in a few years and cant remember what to thread the bolts to!?!
I might have lost some sort of threaded inserts but don't remember, anyone?

Yes, there are two inserts you will need. If you can't find them let me know. I'll send you a set.

Hey Jason, since you already have the black painted grabber headlight surrounds maybe you will want to paint the grill black to match? It probably would't photograph as well though since the black grills blend into the black radiator support begind them.

Take good care of that grill. I had it for 17 years, was on my car for 15 and just took it off 2 years ago to go back to my 73 grill. to get an idea of how a black grill looks in pictures here is my 73 grill after I painted it black. I still need to paint my headlight surrounds, been looking for time to do that for 2 years now.

For the trunk if you are missing the threaded inserts or nutplates you may find some at the parts store that will clip in the holes. Probably don't have time to have some shipped to you.
