as you guy's know, I am bringing a stallion back to original. I know you all like the small bumper conversion, but since I want to stay true to the factory product, I will need to re-chrome my big bumpers. my question is:

    1. has anyone done this?
    2. can you give me a "ballpark" on what it costs?

I won't hold you to it, I'm just trying to get a budget together and that is something I have never done....

    thanks in advance!

Looking at about $300 each I would say.

My guess would be around $350 each. This is what it cost 3 months ago to do a 1966 Ford Fairlane

I have both front and rear rechromed bumpers. If I can find small bumpers and brackets or you have or can get them I'll trade. Small bumpers don't have to be rechromed but rechromable and straight. and if for Comet better. :) These big bumpers I have have never been mounted, still in the plastic from when I purchased them. My one year project is now on summer 6.

I might be interested in making that trade. Does your bumpers have holes for guards and pads? This is the car I need a nice set of bumpers for but I don't need any with holes for the pads.

Sorry yes these have the holes for pads. For anyone else looking I have nice driver pads but not the guards.

And blugene... go ahead and laugh, I have to or I'll cry
