Well, my windows are really tough to get to function correctly. There's a binding kind of feeling the closer the glass gets to the top and the front passenger side comes out of track close to the top. I found the instructions for messing with the alignment. Is this all I need to do? Could the gears themselves be buggered up?
Could be. Also, check to see if the mounting gromets and pins are in secure or missing. Hard to move in there if they are good. Use mustang parts if you need them.
The regulator gears may be full of old dried up grease and dirt. May need to clean and lube them with some clean grease....
No, they are plastic grommets, and have a plastic pin that holds the glass in the regulator. Like was said, check the gears for dried grease, and for damage. Good luck!
i had the same when reassembling my doors. i discovered that the front of the window glass was completely out of track. you might want to roll the window down completely and check whether the front portion of the glass is really running in the track.
The passenger side has to be out of track. To get it all the way up right I have to put one hand on either side of the glass and kind of lift it up. That's the one that's the worst to deal with.
