Getting ready to paint the dash...Disconnected my battery, removed the seats, carpet, package tray and dash cap. I think this upset my dog 'cause she gave me an ear full when she saw what I'd done.

Gonna go with a black interior. I have some nice door panels except they were removed by a rookie who broke the board at every clip. I hope I can replace the Masonite and keep the vinyl.

Removed my front pass. seat to re-upholster them, tommorrow or maybe get started tonite. That all hinges on how I feel after a rest break.
While I was at it, or had that side of the car up I made prep to spray a little undercoating under a very clean undercarriage. I was fortunate - this car has not seen much if any salt.

Sunday - had a problem with right side frame rail clearence on the big tube 71 Mustang Hooker Comp headers for the Cleveland so I clearenced the frame rail to allow the header to go into the inside face of the frame rail instead of smashing the tube - I'll box the inside of the frame rail once I square up and clean up the clearence cuts - also had to cut a piece out of the floor for about a 1/4 of an inch of tube clearence - I'll put a little raised steel piece back in to form a little pocket for the tube clearence - the driver's side header fit with no problem :)

Thanks for the roses Bob. Small project compared to what u have going. I had origanally considered having it done professionally. When I thought abt it, it cud'nt be much more difficult than covering a model aircraft. I was right. I have covered a few of them over the years. I watch a video on Youtube, bought myself a set of ring pliers and rings and went for it. I have a few small puckers, but, it's hard to get it completely tite workin w/ 40yr old foam.
I am satisfied w/ the results and the cost.

I am presently workin on the rear pak tray covering, more sound insl in that area and some new 6*9s.
I hope to install the pak tray and rear seat tommorrow. Getting for first Kruize nites May 1st.
