Well, yesterday took the Comet to the shop and then the Maverick went along to contribute any parts needed. Took 2 250 engines in to another shop for rebuild and a valve job with hardened seats. Then 2 trannys to the shop for rebuild also. $$$$$ I'm going broke fast.:)

Finished greasing the last stubborn or hard to reach zerks on the all new front suspension (except springs) and steering gear (except PS control valve). Tried out the swapped Maverick front disks. Everything seems fine. Have an appt tomorrow with a guy that's supposed to be good on aligning old stuff. Hope it drives and stops as well after the alignment as it does now. :bananaman Hope the Search function can locate those recommendations for alignment specs.

installed the cylinder head and torqued it down, and the exhaust manifold. Found out what was the problem with the fuel guage not working, I pulled the sending unit and the brass float wasn't floating anymore...:rofl2:and I need a new filter sock on my sending unit...unless I don't need one?

After having the windshield and back glass removed, I had my new headliner installed.
    Looking forward to Carlisle.

Replaced the fuel pump and the fuel lines. Then went to get the Comet inspected.... Failed :hmmm: only because my high beam indicator dash light was out. Told the guy it was not driven at night and the old headlights don't light very well anyway. No dice... Pulled the instrument cluster and replace the bulb. Passed. Vintage tags are next.:thumbs2:

Never heard such a thing about the indicator and I used to be an inspector in Garland. Crazy times now.
Being that your in Sachse you could come and meet with us when we get together and do dinner.
