It will be great once finished. Good luck and be sure to keep taking pics along the way. Wish you were putting your efforts into a 75 two door (big bumper) lol
dont worry, im soon upgrading to duct tape! but on a serious note i did tack it in place today thanks to my new welding machine..... ive been saving money for a while for some speed parts and ended up making a smart decision to buy something a little more useful. besides, im a certified welder but i didnt even own a welding machine!!!
Make sure you get the 200MPH duct tape, like the Nascar guys use. Then get the speed parts and try to outrun it.
I haven't gotten past this statement yet... "i did tack it in place today thanks to my new welding machine." i was thinking...tacks...were installed with a thumb/hammer...
I didn't know they made a steel spoiler. All the ones I have seen have been fiberglass, or some such material.
well i got a new job and havent messed with the mav much till today, got the piece tac'd . recently i had a good buddie of mine that i used to work with gave me a complete factory exhaust system off of a srt challenger. i really like the tips on those cars and now that i have a set..... figured it'd look good with the look im going for. i know the car is rough...please look past that into what it is going to be
Been a long time It has been quite a long time since I have been on. But im gettin back into the maverick game. I am attempting the same, I found a great condition four door 72 that im going to do a modified 250 straight with an AOD behind it, and im working on the whole Grabber and GT trim idea on the car. I like your idea with the stock two door trunk lid cut out, but what are your plans for the corner pieces? I was thinking about ordering one of those repodution Grabber spoiler kits and modifying it to fit my four door.
I'll post some pics soon but ive started one side. I taped up the end of the trunk lid, then with the quarter extensions in place , I filled it all up with expanding foam. Then let it set and sanded it down to fit the way I like. Then fiberglassed the whole thing.
