Anyone have a source for new nuts and bolts for various parts of our cars? I especially need the ones to the fenders and bumpers.. Intrested in checking out whatever kits if any.

I used Mustang kits for some of the bolts. Check any of the Mustang suppliers and you'll probably find kits that work.

Be sure to get new compression washers (might not be the right name) for any bumper bolts. I ran into an issue with the Mustang bumper bolts having a thincker square shoulder and the nuts wouldn't tighten up with my old (compressed) washers. Were OK with new washers.

If you are looking for the exact same fender bolts, Mustangs used them to hold the spring cover on, I have the AMK or NPD numbers somewhere. They were an exact match to the NOS ones that came from my neighbors basement...

Thanks for the info. I am not doing a "restoration" so as long as they work I will look at them. I am remembering that the fenders have some sort of clip nut? The threads not matching is what I worry about should I find my old ones. Heck, I would use old ones if someone has them complete... Maybe I will contact Rick or one of the other parts guys on here. New would be nice tho.

My fenders were bolted on with 5/16" bolts.

I would be happy to buy them if you'll sell them in sets. I can simply sand blast them and they will be like new again lol. I say sets meaning I also need the clip nuts that match the bolts.

Gene, google 'Disco Automotive Hardware' they are located in Oklahoma. They sell new J nuts (clip nuts) and bolts. I don't think that you can buy direct, but they might be able to point you to a local distributor.

Check out your local NAPA store. They'll need to get their fastener catalog out but you'll find what your needing.

I bought new bolts with nuts from ebay. The ones you were looking at are available in different sizes and in black also. I bought a set of 20 black 5/16 bolts and used them to mount my fenders. I don't have the link but I have seen them several times.
Hope you find what you are looking for.

I bought a box of the j nuts from Oreillys. Its been ten years or so, but might be worth asking.
