What did you do to your Maverick or Comet today

It's three separate pieces, one base or main part that holds the filter which is bolted to the carb where the normal wingnut threaded rod would go, the top lid which fits into the bottom base and then is fastened to the cowl piece with 3 quick release camloks....Take the top lid off, remove 5/16th bolt and the whole thing comes off...The part that goes through the cowl will be surrounded by weather stripping allowing it to move when the engine torques...

The HEI made this a bitch to do...Had to use a Moroso offset base to make it all fit and still had a lot of mods to do...And, i still don't know if the hood is gonna close...Might have to cut some of the frame out

Ordered my aje suspension, and my new motor and msd controller

 

Took the steering column apart and bead blasted and painted everything. I hope I remember how to put it back together again.

 

Bought parts. Some new some used

Took the car cover off & looked at it . I need motor mounts ,rims and tranmission fluid changed, filter . before i can cruise in it again ...

 

I think I might know... Whatever it is, stock suspension won't allow it.

Yeah, little late on that tip. That was a real head scratcher getting them back in place.

 

i put a little dab of dum dum on the end of a blunt scewdriver and that held the t-bolts so i could position it into the column, hope that helps.

 

Got the new aftermarket brake booster mounted(temporarily) to the firewall, still need a few mods to finish it up. Still waiting ...2 weeks now....Do NOT buy from "Fatrodder" on ebay, they dont care and you may never get what you ordered!!!!.... sorry to rant, but anyway, waiting for steering u-joints for my rack project, hopefully I will get back on that this weekend, have a show to go to in 3 weeks and the time is getting short(thanks to fatrodder!!!)
