political ads on the site

    just find it funny that political treads are not allowed but there are canadian political ads all over the site...:huh:

    The site tracks your connection, and advertises whats relevant to your location, since we're almost at the end of the election, a certain party is trying to get every vote they can..I'm going to see the Prime Minister on Sunday afternoon, hes here in London, I had to register to get in. :D
    If you goto Eastwoods website, it'll start showing you Eastwood ads, same for anything else your looking at...

    I don't see any ads at all.

    If you have firefox get the "Ad block Plus" add on.
    It makes them invisible.

    Advertising very minimal on here, just some banners at the top or bottom... and like Dave says they try to mimic your web habits/interests. Some sites have advertisments within the threads but not here....:thumbs2:

    Those are the worst kind and the reason I finally downloaded Firefox. At HDForums if your cursor was within a half mile of a blue word the add popped up, very irritating!

    I can filter out ads by a site's url that I do not want to appear on this site. I filtered out the official web sites of the four major parties running in the upcoming Canadian election.
