Do you have a link to where you ordered them? Very nice, BTW. I have Phantom gauges, and they would look good in them.
I tried looking for a link. I got them off eBay. They were the replacements for our standard bulbs. Let me see if I can find out what bulbs we have.
I bought my LED's a year or two ago when you first mention them on eBay. I think the price was $4 and free shipping for 5 bulbs. It took about 4 weeks to get them 'cause they were shipped from Hong Kong. Heck... you're a lot younger than me so you should be able to remember these things.
Here is a simple PWM LED dimmer... http://www.electronics-lab.com/blog/?p=6053 I just mocked it up in Spice. I can add some parts and make it use the dash dimmer as an input to the pot. Then they could be dimmed using the dash dimmer. Mo can be the test subject. Should could be a quick project for the summer, once finals are over next week.

I'm happy with the brightness of my LED's turned all the way up. Any dimmer then why not stay with W5W's
I put the same LEDs in my 70.. converted all lights inside an out, all LED now except for the courtesy dome lamp lol... mg]
Aren't you having to put in a converter for each of the light sockets for tail lights and side markers? And then one with the dash lights? I know you have to do that with head light conversion. I bought some "plug and play" LEDs for my tail lights and all they did was pulse/flicker. What about all that? What did you have to do to make all these work?
Gauges & LEDs The gauges are awesome, and the LEDs are great. I really like the layout - where did you get the gauges and what make are they? Could you pass on where you purchased the LEDs too? Thanks!
I found out the hard way that different brand name LED's don't want to play together with some other name brand LED's when it comes to a two element bulb.
