73 maverick glove lock remove

    How do I remove glove compartment lock ? Is there a trick I can't figure it out.

    i managed to get mine out but can't remember how, sorry. had to smash the glove box door apart to get the replacement from my parts car though.

    Are you wanting to just remove the handle? The lock assembly? I am unclear as to what you are wanting to do.

    I want to remove the lock to fix it or replace it.

    Once you remove the knob from the front....just remove the two screws on the back side.

    Take a small pick and go in behind the knob and pry on the retainer sping clip. Kind of hard to see...but it is there.
