While it may be a little while before paint is actually a reality, I have been thinking about it the last few days. I have decided to go some shade of bright red on my car. However, I am still undecided on the stripe. The grabber stripe just doesnt "grab" me. I am kinda fond of the comet stripe. I am thinking of putting a comet stripe on my 70 grabber. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the mater they would like to share?

I would choose the 73 style and replace the Comet GT with Maverick..

I'm assuming you'd use a 71-72 Comet GT stripe without the actual words included because that would be weird.

It's your car, if you like the looks of the stripe put it on.

I considered a Comet stripe when we painted mine. Took me a few months to figure out what I wanted. I also like the 70 Grabber stripe with out the GRABBER logo. It may actually find its way to my car one day???

This is what I went with thanks to our stripe guy that comes into work. It was a total spur of the moment thing. He came and found me in the shop and says that car needs a stripe badly. So we brought it in on the hoist and he went to work. We spent a few hours and this is how it ended up. Its subtle and breaks up all that blue paint real well.

He mocked up a quick stripe in the area a comet gt stripe would go but it didnt work on mine. Still too much Blue on the lower half of car. It just didnt break up the car as well.

I know...The classic look is awesome, red and black. But there is something abut that low black stripe that doesnt sit right with me.
