Besides the "Grabber" rear spoiler, what others are recommended (aftermarket, other makes/models, etc.)?
I think I saw some pictures of a couple mavericks on this forum with the firebird spoilers. Looks like they followed the contours/shape of the maverick pretty well...
I got it years ago from a guy on this board, "Maverick Connection"... It was for the 70 to 72 Maverick/Comet, but fits the 73, with a little massaging....
The shape of the valence is a lot differant, but it could be made to work, that's one of those projects I keep telling myself I'm going to try the next time I have the spoiler off the mustang, but it never happens. The 1969 spoiler is fiberglass, the 70 is plastic (that's how they are usualy listed in the mustang catalogs). you could re shape the fiberglass one, or you could get the plastic to flex to fit, I'm shure either could be made to work.
Not a huge fan of the Grabber spoiler and the rest fall in line after it. I like these cars with no spoiler at all. They have beautiful lines without a spoiler. Now if my car had a Grabber spoiler on it already I certainly wouldnt remove it. I just decided I didnt like it quite enough to purchase and install it. Just my opinion for my car. For your car I would stick with the Grabber spoiler. I still think it suits the car best.
alright awesome, theres a mach 1 that lives down the street from me that might be a doner car lol if it fits it'd be awesome, if not i could sell it
I've seen a couple Mavericks with the 70 Shelby chin spoiler. They look pretty good. Check out Craig's orange car.
ya, guy down the street from me said that i can have the one off his car if i go an get it, he said that he hates working on cars and wont get on the ground to remove it...so once i get back home ill snag it see if i can get it to work
