Thanks Ken. It's an old one takes a lot to keep it up. Probably will be just like my Comet, although it's about 37 years older.

Well I stopped by Mick's today to see the Comet first hand. The pic's DON"T do it justice, it is a beautiful paint job. Now the rear tires look just as funny in person by the rest of the car is GREAT. A lot of detail everyplace, like the hood is cut for the scoop to add air and the carb is raised so the air cleaner is in the scoop. The little extra brackets here and there, all I can say is NNIICCEE. I'm looking forward to seeing it when it's done. But he did show me his money tree and it's not doing **** so he might have to play the lotto. Rick

Thanks Rick. It was great seeing you and your son yesterday. I took the car for another spin around the block yesterday. God I can't wait until I can start cruising with my baby. By baby I guess that can mean my car or my wife (probably mean the car :rofl2:)

    Almost Done!!

Well after 3 1/2 years I'm about 2-3 weeks away from getting my baby on the road. I just picked up my wheels and tires. I got 15X7 Magnum 500 rims and put on 205/70R15 on the front and 245/60R15 on the back. I can't wait to start taking it to the car shows and the cruises. I'm taking it my interior guy to get the headliner, rear package tray and carpeting installed. Then he's arranged to get my windshield and rear window installed. Once the money tree starts dropping its fruit I'll get the door panels and seats done and then the car will be complete. But it will be road worthy and ready to go real soon!! Here's a few pictures.

Thanks Craig - there's a lot of your parts on this car. It's been a long time but it has been worth it.

Thanks Ken. She's my baby. A clone of my first car from 40 years ago.

Great looking car! Looks a little better than the other wheels you had on it (y) What made you decide to leave the hood emblem off?

Just decided to go with a cleaner look. My brother did all of the engine work, body work and painting on the car. He asked me one day if I wanted the emblem on or not. I looked at the emblem and it was quite faded. If I ever find one in good condition I can easily add it. Right now I'm liking the clean look.

Yeah...I was trying to remember. I recall a front fender.....

Can't wait to see it at the MCCI Roundup Nationals.

I'm looking forward to the Roundup also it will be my first one and I can't believe it is in my backyard.

If my memory serves me right I got a front fender, valence panel, stone guard, armrest, sport mirror and maybe the front bumper. Here's a picture with your parts.

That is a sharp Comet, we'll have to meet up sometime. My dad works at Livonia Transmission out in Livonia. My friend Justin has a flat black 70' Mav over in Plymouth. Woouldn't be suprised if you've seen it before...Love the car though...hope to see it at the Roundup or a cruise or carshow soon.
