I've seen them on other forums...but I don't see the point.

It would just cut down on my post count by like 80%, we cant have that now can we!

What the hell is a LIKE button and what is its use???? I dont do Facebook so I may be out of the loop on this one. I've seen the little LIKE symbol on Facebook crap but dont really know its purpose.

It's a way of saying you like something someone said or agree with something someone said or found it humorous, etc. without actually having to say anything.

How would it cut it down? All it would do is spam your email with something saying that so and so liked your comment on things like what color primer is on 71golds front fender.

You would still have the same ammount of threads, because the quetions would still get asked, and the answers would still be given...

A good example of this would be a post like this that we have all seen hundreds of times

    Maverick front brakes

Hi im new to the forums I have a 72 maverick with an 200 I6 and a c4. It has drum brakes on the front, I need to know what parts I need for a disk brake conversion, and what car I can get them off of...

now if you had a like button and liked that post then everyone else that chimes in with the Granada disks would give you another email(you know like Markso just commented on Maverick front brakes), and the OP would end up with a stupid email saying maverick75 liked your post on maverick front brakes.....so yeah I vote no for the like button:rant2:

(of course I detest facebook, I have a facebook account and my wife is the one that maintains it. I dont care about your cows and pigs or how big your mafia is, and all of my friends I have on it I have met IRL... yeah people spend hours on facebook watering pigs and answering sparkley questions about each other and then they tell me I spend too much time working on cars, or building puters...all in all I view facebook as almost being as Etarded as Twitter)

Instead of writing a comment I would just click the like button :D

So that would cut the post count down! Which isn't a bad thing.

Im on another forum that looks a lot like this in the layout. I believe they use vBulliten too. It doesnt have a LIKE button but has a THANKS button that list everyone under it that has clicked the button. Just an FYI

No more changes, it's been like this for years. We don't need anything else. If you like something, type out a message.....
