I don't care what someone does to there own car, its there car. Everyone has opinion about what they like and what they don't. I'm a FORD guy through and through, and when I see another brand of engine transplanted in a FORD it feels like someone kicked me in the gut, but I ain't hating on someone cause they chose to do something different than me. Just my :2cents: :tiphat:

Was one of these guys the same guy who told you that your old 302 was a 351 Cleveland because of the valve covers you had? :D

I wonder why even some of the poeple like that even come to events or car shows lol. I can't even count the number of times people have called me a ricer at a car show because I run spray on my mustang........ of course I then inform them of how ignorant they are.

I agree with the first part of this. LS should be compared to a 351 NOT a 302 and ANY chevy guys/ gals out there seem to really get back pedalling when the old 305 chevy gets brought into a conversation about chevy and horsepower. The last part I don't see happening. The 5.0 mod motor is no differnet than the 4.6

What makes the New 5.0 so freaking special. The 4.6 is the SAME motor as the new 5.0 with a few less cubes and you aren't seeing that motor going into anything and everything it will fit?

My beef with the LS swap in the Maverick is that jst about anyone that has done it is also either shaving shock towers or putting the rack and pinion and getting rid of the shock towers all together. Once you do that you and put a freaking 351 clevland in just as easy, or a 390fe, 390 block with different heads and you got a super powerhouse 428....

Chevy motors belong in chevy cars/trucks.... Ford motors belong in Ford cars and trucks. As far as anyone putting an LS in a Maverick or a Mustang... It's their car they can do what they want but I just don't see the logic.

Edited to say... Oh and BTW. Not that it matters but I used to hold Frank and Patches as one of the Greatest Mavericks on the forum and in the top 2 or 3 Mavericks that I would want if I could have any Maverick of my Choice.

Now I am just going to say that I am a little more than disappointed and as far as Patches goes, she really has fallen to near the bottom on my list of Mavericks that I would ever want.
Now put that 347 and a manual or AOD tranny back in her and she'd be back on top.
