2005 Rx8 with mods... hopefuly some time soon I will have another maverick and have time to work on it!
Okay so we found after tearing the Comet apart that it had been wrecked and we didn't feel that it would be road worthy but it has some good parts to use. My Uncle and I bought this Maverick from Gary :tiphat: Thanks Gary! We still plan on putting a 351 in it. So it has been a while since we bought it and I just started getting two days off of work and we started working on it in the middle of last month. Posting some photos of the progress. The floor is going to be crazy, I cut out the rust spots and we started patching the holes with sheet metal and rivets and it's ugly but the supports are all there. After we get the floor done I'm going to weld it and seal it. We also plan on painting the bottom of the car with bed liner. At some point in the last couple of weeks my Uncle took the hood off the car and mounted our hood scoop way to close to the nose. I made him take it back off and move it closer to the wind shield. I didn't get any photos of the engine bay yet but we have taken the motor mounts and belly bar out of the Comet and put them in the Maverick. I know I'm kind of all over the place but I'm just excited to be getting somewhere with this car  Anyways here are some photos and I'll post more as I can.

I like the scoop and the nose seems to be nice and straight

Okay, no new progress on the car. I have moved twice since I first posted this thread.....:16suspect but we did get the engine out of the truck and will be putting it on an engine stand soon and then it's a slow saving for parts proses and back to working on the car which I still have some patching and welding to do. I would post more photo's but I can't seem to find my camera since we have moved... I think the wife is hiding it from me

    Oh and thanks guys.

A little update, today we pulled the old rear sump off and the rear pickup tube and replaced them with the new front sump and grunt pickup tube. The bottom end looked nice and clean as well and I took a few photos. My ghetto engine cover is a heavy rubber blow up mattress that doesn't hold air anymore.

The Maverick peeking out from winter. If my uncle gets home early enough we're going to move it closer to the tool shed.

Nothing much to add, haven't had much time to work on the car. We did get out moved closer to our shop and did get it up on the ramps today for easy fat guy access :thumbs2:
It got hot quick today so we didn't do much.

    Any time!

Yeah probably going to be on there for a while.

Indeed, it's just hard finding the time to work on it. I'm ready for it to be done but still got a long ways.

    Thanks guys :tiphat:
