I know the 57-59 rears are bolt-ins. What about the Granada/Monarch? which years of these are a direct bolt in , and are they big bearing rears?

    Thanks

I don't know what year Granada my 9 inch came out of, since I bought it from a guy that had it sitting on a garage floor, but it is a big axle bearing rear.

Any 9" from a Granada, Monarch or Lincoln Versailles up to and including the 1980 model year is a direct bolt in for a Maverick/Comet. As a matter of fact, all Ford leaf sprung cars shared the same spring pad dimensions----43" ctr to ctr. The housing dimensions may be a bit wider than a Mav's, but not enough to worry about.

the 9" in my 69 1/2 came out of a 1980 granada 4 door ,spring centers are the same @ 43" center to center, but overall width was 1 inch wider, that gave me a 1/2 inch more on each side for bigger tires
