Well, I'd do it, which everway is the easiest for you to swollow financially. I think that color is very nice and I haven't seen very many at all in that dark blue here in California........................I have to said I'm not crazy about the peel & stick strip...............If I bought the car I'd take it off, but that is just me. I have heard the same thing about the 6spd trans from some of the guys I know who have the 2011's................... Yes, 412 factory HP is sweet................and it only goes up from there. Good Luck IMHO
debt sucks and the car won't be worth what you owe on it after you drive it off the lot, or a year from now. Cool car though..
I think that its the mustang to buy if you were gonna buy one new. I'd take the shorter loan or whatever you can get away with payment wise, better to have it payed off with warranty left to spare. I went back and forth on this for a while but making the payment doesn't get to me at all. It's a car that will put a smile on your face every time you sit behind the wheel. Oh and get an auto...... They're are people running the stock auto tranny in 9 second 5.0's.......
Some would look at it like you are buying a car- A depreciable asset. But some cars to some people are not just a car. Its a source of amusement, entertainment, fun. Sure the car goes down in value, but how much fun are you paying for in the meantime. If you can afford that kind of fun then go for it. Personally i See it the same way when I go to Las Vegas. I may lose $200-300 on the weekend (playing conservative and having fun). But I dont see it like I LOST that money. I paid $300 for a weekend full of fun and entertainment, and hey I had the chance of having that fun for free if I had won.
I like that Mustang My granddad always said there is two times you cant talk to a man, and that is when he thinks he is in love, and when he is wanting a new car.
Go for the 60mo and fatten up your down payment. Yes a new car is the worst financial investment you can make. But we dont buy investments...We buy toys to play with. Personally I keep my cars for 10/12 yrs so 60 mos isnt a biggie for me. Reallistically...If you cant afford to pay for it for 36mos...You cant afford it, and shouldnt buy it...I have been searching for 2 yrs for the right used mustang and finally pulled the trigger on one last thursday... Its 4 yrs old but its spotless and low miles and the price was right. Gotta take the emotion out of the equation and be money smart about it. If you can swing it and the deal is right...Do it...If you dont like the deal...Be dispassoinate and Walk away... Good luck!!!
When I bought my 2010 I got 0% for 72 ... But spent the Interest saved on a Saleen Supercharger ... .... The only thing I regret not getting is the Electronics Package with Flat Screen and Nav ... I have the 3.55 gears, 19" wheels and Comfort Package ... heated seats are great in Winter and my son loves the power passenger seat ... I follow several Mustang Forums and I have not heard of the 2012 having an improved MT-82 ....
No changes to the mt82.... the tranny whine issues will still probably be present but I'm pretty sure that the 2012's have the revised clutch assemblies that were part of the 2011 mt82 tsb.... which is what I've had to replace twice now lol
That sucks .... I have read about several of the issues ... Sticking clutch Pedal, whining in all gears, grinding 1-2-3 shift, pressure plate bolts backing out ... I have the TR3650 in mine since it's a 2010. At 700 miles the tranny developed a bearing growl in 4th and 5th ... Ford ended up replacing it with a new transmission. Been good ever since ... Have 7000 miles on it now.
Well, I did it. The dealer and I went back and forth for over 3 hours before the deal was made. I guess that's what happens when a 100% comission sales person is dealing with another 100% commision sales person. Man that was like pulling teeth to get them to go where I needed to be, I walked out once to go eat dinner and to think about this whole thing and then knew I had him when he called me on the phone while I was eating. Real pain in the back side but I got it done. As far as debt, this is the only thing I have, I'm not 35 or a spring chicken! I have put 3 beautiful young women through college and have paid off all those loans. My house is paid for and the only true vise I have is that white Maverick out back. Man do I love to go fast! Money... well I can't take it with me. So here is my advice to all who want to make more money and live happier then you ever dreamed you could be. TRY TO OUT GIVE GOD. You can't do it! Many years ago I was blessed with a FREE gift and still to this day all I can say is thank you Lord for all I have. God is good all the time! Thanks to all for your input, especially about the transmission. You guys are the best! It is a 2011 not 12. Ford has no reason to get right on pricing for them yet. DID I FORGET TO SAY THAT THIS IS ONE SWEET CAR! It's not going to have a snow balls chance in you know where :evilsmile of even coming close to taking my Maverick in a straight line 1/4 mile race... but it sure is pretty sitting in the driveway. As always, just my .02 but I'm right about God being good! Blessings to all. Terry
very true, can't out give God. Just got to keep giving to Him though! congratulations on the mustang.
Congrats on the purchase and you are OHHH so right about out giving God! It cannot be done. Wise words those are... sounds like you are finanicially able so thats good. Only you know your own circumstance... of course. Anyway I do wish I was in your shoes with the house and all the other stuff paid off.. The goal is next new car for my wife and I , mine a new f150 but only when I can pay cash.. hers a Cadillac CTS via Mary Kay!
