Well you can see in my third photo where I would like to blend back into - right behind my vicious dimpling area. I believe from that point back the tunnel might stay the same. If you were to take a thin tape, that would bend and conform to the contour of the tunnel, and start right at the point the tunnel curves to blend into the driver's floor to that same point on the passenger floor, that should be a good number that I can check tomorrow on mine. Not sure you can do that without bending down so don't make things worse for yourself. Thanks, Bob
I'll get out there tomorrow, I can sit on the rocker (the driver door is off) I'll take some pic's and measure it up...
Thanks Dave I have a rocker out in the garage too - I need it too after crawling around that car today
Thank Dave. Looking at your photo, it appears that the larger trans tunnel may just blend into the 70's driveshaft tunnel. I'll see if I can get those measurements checked sometime tonight. Another plus to doing this is I can order a carpet for a 71 and it will fit.
67 Caprice Tail Lights I'm looking for a source for new mounting nuts to secure my 67 Caprice tail lights to my rear panel I know others have used these tail lights in the past. Thanks
Terriffic!! I'll check with my local NAPA stores next week All I was finding on the net was NOS ones for 25 bucks Thanks
Got the 67 tail lights mounted today minus the nuts. I bought re-pop 67 Caprice all red tail light lenses for the housings and have a sequencer unit for the lights. The back up lights will go into the 69-70 Mustand valance that I just got from CJ Pony Parts.
Have you held the valance up to the car? I wanna see how it fits, I was too busy to grab one this week.
I had a jack stand right in the way the day Fed Ex brought the valence so tonight I got the stand out of my way and checked the fit. The width at the top edge of the Mustang valance seems spot on matching up what is left of my original quarters. It may need to be trimmed as it slopes down to the lower point where it meets the quarters. Really just a rough eye ball fit right now. Other than that I can see it fitting just like the one in Tom Hackman's photo- - - I'll get a better photo tomorrow
