Leaking rain guard.

    My 75 is leaking badly on the passenger side ( need to cut out floor panel and mig weld a new plate in ) and leaks a little on the drivers side. It is comeing from the rain guard, ive cleaned it out and i am currently disasembleing the fenders. Anybody have this problem before? Souloution?

    Run a hose it to the cowl vents, before you go too far, you may find your problem.
    Lots of cowl repair info on here.

    Thanks, i used a hanger, cleaned out a majority of it. is there any way to get inside the rain guard or is it sealed off?

    Nope, the cowl has to be removed to get in there. Some have repaired holes from below also. Use the search tool and look up "cowl repair", or "leaking cowls".

    what is horizontaly adjacent to the heater box? Im also haveing a leak on the drivers side.

    at night, put a blanket over the cowl. get someone to shine a flashlight under the dash (in different spots). stick your head under the blanket and look for light comming through...you will be surprised how bright a small beam of light is in the dark...:thumbs2:
    the blanket is so you want see glare from the windshield...
