Replaced my 30A fuse #5 "AGX 30" and got my AC working agn. The fuse was defective. By defective, I mean it has been subjected to moisture and the metal end caps became detached. Replaced the fuse and got things going agn. I was hearing a dreadful noise when the compressor first turned on - I activated it twice after putting in the new fuse and noise seems to have disappeared :).
I hope that solves that issue. I really don't want to return the new comp.
BTW- I put dielectric grease on and cleaned all contact points in the fuse box.

Got my 3g installed on Wed evening. What a gravy install. I think I spent all of 45 minutes on it and it looks and works great. Got the cable and 150A fuse from a used Jeep I pulled stereo wiring out of months back. :)

reailzed that my oilpan wouldn't fit and decided to let it sit outside for a while because I'm tired of looking at it and fooling with it

    wheel hub swap

I swapped out my four bolt wheel hub on the passenger front side of my '70 Maverick with a five bolt wheel hub from my '73 Comet. I was told that this would not work. Well my curiousity got the better of me (and my budget). I did however find two difference's. The '70 wheel seal was set even with the back-side of the drum, where the '73 wheel seal has a lip. The other thing was the brake lines. The '70 has a banjo type fitting, and the '73 just had a stright in-line brake line. That's it. Other than the bigger backing plate, bigger brakes, and bigger (longer) wheel cylinders. I thought someone would say I left that last part out, so I didnt. (y)

Got a good start on my front heim end brackets for the 4 link suspension.
