1971 200ci C4 plans are simple: interior fixing --- pllow top or buckets? wood gt grant to keep it classy. try to fix top dash pad(cover with fiberglass then leather?) body repair bass possible rebuild of the 200, it runs great but burns oil paint black, matte with gloss clear? vise-versa? regular gloss? matte and paint the chrome bumpers to match? maybe dark green? non staggered wheels and tires would be nice too but the 195/215 combo has good tread.... run 'em till they're bald. . it came with the front bumper, grill, door panels, and something else i can't think of. i started detailing the interior to get it ready for interior work.... and i found out it has monroe shocks in all 4 corners.
my understanding is if you paint black matte with gloss clear...it will come out...gloss black. to keep it matte it needs...flat clear.
hmm, i just looked it up, it seems i need (semi?)gloss paint and clear with a flatener mixed in to get the look i want(not typical flat-semi gloss-gloss more like a semi-matte black.... wow it's hard to be even somewhat different when it comes to black) Coolvettes, thanks for the heads up. i was thinking of trying to restore the thrashed one that's in it before i buy a new one time to go detail the drivers side of the interior edit 10pm mountain time: pulled the bench out got it clean enough to work on in there.... i am thinking about bed liner instead of carpet-fatmat...
started sanding the interior rust.... i am going to need more 180 grit. or if i can fix my air compressor a little cheap sandblaster.... edit: i went to the local yard.... it's not a pick and pull set up and it didn't have midsize 70s-80s bench seats oh and on the way there i saw a white lamborghini murcielago convertible on the way there... random
