What Year were kick panels with speaker grills

What years did they start offering the front kick panels with the factory speaker grills? I dont want to cut up the nice black ones I got but I also want to keep my front speakers. So I may be looking for another set but dont know what years to look at.

If yours are scored on the back for the grills....those are the ones you want.

mine are just flat kick panels. Ive seen some with the rectangular grill on the outside of the kick panel. those are the ones I want. Or I could just cut the circle out of mine and use the round grills that came with my speakers to cover the holes. But I'd rather have the stock look.

73 was the first year you could get front speakers in a car with the am/fm radio option. 1991 cars came with this in 1973.

The grill is pretty standard across all Ford lines, a few visits to the wreckers might score some. They have metal tabs, so you can swap them around. I've even seen NOS ones on Ebay.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!

I have cherokee ones in my car, The cashier at the junkyard gave them for me for free since they didn't have a price for them.

As for maverick ones, look at cougars, torinos and LTDs of the same era. They're all basically the same.

my Wagoneer ones are the same as the ford ones. i have a set i pulled from a 73, and a set from a wagoneer. side by side, there are absolutely no differences at all.

Makes sense. Typical AMC era Jeep, right? All Makes Combined.
