Starting to do research, need to know which paint brand is better for my 73. I'm trying to go stock, I believe is 5H (dark brown). Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I like Spies Hecker...House of color paints (Made by Valspar)...R&M...And,Dupont,which has allways been really good for color accuracy and matching.

PPG urethane on my car. I like the solids in this. Stripped my Jeep years back and went Triple Black urethane PPG. Awesome paint. A solid urethane is pretty easy to touch up,wet sand and buff. A lot of it came down to personal preference and advice from my friend/painter. Our place is all water based now but we did mine in urethane with no clear.

I'm so new at this, I didn't know Sherman Williams and Pittsburg paints sell auto paint. That website shows only white color for 73 but mine has code 5h which is med brown.

Nason is Duponts entry level product (cheap stuff) Its fine if your doing something your not concerned about or keeping for very long. Not the same quality.....

Stick with one brand for your paint and clear coat as well as the components needed.
