Has anyone ever considered using an '87-'91 Mustang GT front bumper? I think it would look great on a Maverick and really smooth out the body lines.
Not the whole nose or headlights. I meant just replace the Maverick bumper with the Mustang lower bumper and spoiler. If i was good at photoshop I'd try it.
That looks interesting. Do you think it would work? On second thought........Thats too much bumper. It doesnt look like a Maverick anymore.
Actually doesn't look bad in that photoshop. It would be alot of work though. You would have to cut the center section out and build it with something like one of the SEM bumper repair products. I also would think that it is tooo wide, so you might have to cut it that way also. Hey this is what hotrodding is about, dreamin'. Dave, did you get a bozo hair caught in your throat?
You just jumped on the guys thoughts with puke, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt that maybe you got something caught in your throat that maybe caused you to puke, but I guess that you were puking on his thoughts. Just because you don't like his idea....maybe read and go on. After explanation Russ understood what he was after and gave proper feedback. Didn't leave it at PUKE.
I didn't say you couldn't say what you wanted to say, merely made a suggestion. I would also suggest that if you make remarks like that to not be so thinned skinned when you get a response like this. What if you showed a pic of your car and I said I hate to break it to you but not everyone wants a cookie cutter of a car so they don't have the same ideas as yours. Supposed to be what makes this place great. Sorry t.ramsey, now back to your regularly scheduled program. If you look around at different bumper covers I bet there are a few that are flat across the top and close in width that could be reworked to fit. I would try to get something in fiberglass so it can be worked easier. You can cut FB and add where you need it and form it to fit better. You can do that with the other plastics now also but I think they are much harder to work.
Thanks for the chuckle ... all in good fun I think ^^^ Agreed. This won't be a weekend project, but if your up for it, I say Go for it. I love seeing one off stuff.
Check out some foregin mavs. The Brazillians are nuts about these things and do some wicked(good and bad) work. Presonally I wanna try takin the front clip off of the Falcon XB(Australia) and work that on a mav. It's the front end of Mad Max's car.
Now that I managed to get everyone pissed off at each other, I think I'll just keep my stock bumpers.
