Found my battery draw. .100 A No wonder it went dead in 4-5 days. LOL. Turns out it wasnt the fan controller after all. Its drawing next to nothing. Its my tach. I wired the new one into the existing harness from the old auto-meter. Turns out the feed is Batt. and not ignition. Should have checked it when I did the swap I guess.

    Drive line

I knew I was going to have to do something to get my mav drive line to hook up to ford 9" but not this, it seems like every thing we do we have to reinvent something. Mavmet found a pinion yoke that would bolt to my 9" that would also fit my mav drive line so just change the yoke right!! the impact wrench didn't get it so on to a breaker bar that just made the car move so I put a pipe wench around the yoke jambed against the ground and then the breaker bar and jumped up and down on it (not even) now the next step I don't advise you jamb the breaker bar against the frame and put a floor jack under the pipe wrench and slowly jack it up so now the whole weight of the car is on the pipe wrench and its lifting the car off the ground at this point I'm about to start pulling my already thinning hair out so I stood back got a little run and jumped up on the fender and finally it broke loose at first I wasn't sure what broke but it all turned out well now where did I put those U bolts????:burnout:
Maybe I should put this on the Jerry-rig thread

    5. Charged battery

It runs and drives again...Yippee... Next week, disk brakes...I'm on a roll..

You can go to any good auto parts store and buy a u-joint that has different size joints - one cross will fit your Maverick drive shaft and the other will bolt to the 9 inch yoke. You just need to know the exact measurements of both pieces. :)

There's A straight forward fix or upgrade? WHERE WAS I!

Just jokin. This car has been a pleasure to work on. Part of the reason that I'm going into mechanical engineering(Because of the "straight forward upgrades"). Maybe Even Automotive... Never know could work for Ford and bring the Maverick Back.... It's a mild dream of mine.
