Well it's been a couple months but while painting some parts for the comet I ended up giving my brothers white mustang a ton of black chicken pocks all over and well I feel super bad, how can I get it off I've tried cut polishing but didn't work to well, any ideas?
that would scare me..wrecking his paint even more than i already have..so clay bar is the safe way? how do you exactly use one
If you go with the clay bar use the brand called Clay Magic. I run a body shop and have used a couple of different brands with poor results. They have it in red and blue. We always use the blue. Have never harmed any paint yet. you simply keep the paint wet with water while rubbing the clay bar over it. Keep turning the clay over and massaging it to keep it as clean as possible. The overspray removed sticks to the clay and will reduce it's effectiveness if you keep using the same side. I have also used the other products. They would likely be okay on an older (cured paint job). If the paint job is less than 6-12 months old I would stay away from solvent washing. I certainly wouldn't recommend a non-experienced person with washing a car with any kind of solvents unless you know what you're doing. If you do, test a small area first and do NOT let the area stay wet very long at all. This is most likely the quickest way to remove it but the most dangerous.
