hello everyone. I recently purchased a 77 Maverick. She is in decent condition but needs some work. I'm not new to restoration but very new to the Maverick world. Looking forward to all the advise and expertise you guys have to offer. I LOVE MAVERICKS
First thing I would suggest/recommend would be to lower that rear-end. Yes....it looks cool.....but, those shackles and air shocks are going to tear up your car. Do a "search" for air shocks on this message board and see all the carnage they can cause. When you lower the rear end, those rear tires might be too wide for the quarter panels...so those might have to go as well.
thanks... those pictures are about 2 months old. I have lowered the rear end back to stock, replaced all shocks, built a billet grille, replaced the deteriorating gauges, and put on some 40th anniversary Mustang GT wheels.
