Check my response to 71gold's post on the link to the Ebay auction where I got the shocks/springs. The bottom of the shock is threaded and an aluminum ring is used for the spring seat. You use a spanner wrench to adjust the load on the spring and also fine tune the ride height. Jack up the car, unbolt the bottom of the shock, spin off the ring and the coil spring falls right off. You can change spring rates rather quickly with this type of coil over. I used similer ones in circle track racing. With coil overs in the rear you can throw your leaf springs away. :thumbs2:

I was just checking those out on eBay.. If I understand correctly I can put them in in replace of my shocks and they would also eliminate my leafs? If so would I still have a nice ride high as if my springs were new/ re-arched because I do have 295/50's on the rear

It's not as simple as replacing your existing shocks with these coil overs shocks/springs. These coil overs do completely replace your leaf springs but needs a whole different suspension setup for them to work. You would have to install the coil overs along with a 3 or 4 link suspension system plus a panhard bar to hold your rear centered in the car. Heavier mounting brackets on your rear and a top crossmember to bolt the coil overs to. Lot of work.

Do a search on "coil overs" online and I'm sure you will see pictures of what I am talking about :)

Not these exact ones but there are kits out there for upgrades to a stock Maverick suspension :)

The only one ive found so far is QA1 for 1000.00. There has to be a simpler coil over thats cheaper. Ill keep looking:)

Got the gap out of the driver's side window that has been annoying me for almost a year. :yahoo: See http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=80451 if interested. Haven't had it out for a drive yet (we're under the last band of rain from Irene) but I HOPE the wind noise is reduced.

Put the bucket seats in a couple days ago. I've got to shim the driver's side a little bit. Its leaning towards the hump a little.
