I removed the automatic shift steering column, power steering gear box and the pedal bracket. Need to remove the power steering ram bracket. I test fit the clutch and brake pedals to the bracket (and for future reference, this automatic brake pedal would not work with the clutch pedal - it was too wide). Now I need to clean and paint parts and install. Next up is removing the automatic.

I removed the original transport brackets and a few other remaining brackets. Began a shopping list of steel to make adapters to mount the Comet on the rotisserie. Hopefully soon it will be rotating with ease. :dancing:

Writhed in agony as I walked around My new college campus in the rain. Not cause I got wet, but because of all the bare metal showing in my half completed painting Prep stage. Can one say new weekend schedule?

Got it mostly put together and started it up. Seems to run very well, a lot better now that the valve spring and keepers/retainer is replaced and working fine. Finish putting the valve covers on, shock tower braces and change a collector gasket. Then....go for a ride!

I put in my new speedometer cable. Speedometer works but my odometer doesn't. My speedometer reads pretty close to what my GPS reads. Someday i'll have to pull it all back out to work the odometer problem!
