Good question. This would have more clearance than most but you'd still have to just try and find out. Im sure we could work something out.

Wheels are 245/45 17X8 with 4" bs on the front and 285/40 17X9.5 with 4.75 bs rear. These will not fit without narrowing the rear and/or modifying the wheel lip.

Just curious, why did you go with something bigger in the rear? Is it for performance or for looks?

Both really. But performance is the key reason. I've read that for handling your rear tires should not be much more than 15% wider than the front. Ideally a perfectly balanced car will have the same size all around but for reason like room and specific driving characteristics (drag racing vs autocross) this is often altered to suite those needs. 285 should be the largest I should go with a 245 tire in the front based on cars purpose and honestly, I'd still prefer to have a larger front tire.

Its running again. I had some issues with my steering rack and am waiting to see if its going to need another rebuild but otherwise I just need to take it for a test drive and then off to the exhaust shop to get a new system installed. After that its all little things.

That's great! My car is not even close to finished. So for now I'm living vicariously though you and others with cool Maverick projects. It be cool to see more pictures of work you have done to yours. If I didn't already buy a grabber hood I'd consider the GT scoop like you. It looks sweet on your car especially the picture looking straight from the front. The low stance makes the car look mean.:thumbs2:

My car is finally running. Exhaust system sounds great and the car runs smooth. Now its just time to clean it up.

    Hood Scoop?

I noticed in the small picture on the bottom of your post, a hood scoop. Can you tell me where you purchased? There seems to be number of sources with lots of price variations. Thanks

Thanks. One last question; I see a few front spoilers on member's cars. Do you know who sells them? Are some actually 1969 Mach I types?

    Thanks, again.

Corners flat but plows a little at higher speeds. I need to work out a front sway bar problem.

Rides nice and firm. Very sporty. Steering is tight and a bit on the darty side. I either have too much (+) scrub radius and/or need more caster. Caster would be the easier of the 2 to fix as long as I have the room in the wheel well to work with. If not, I may be doing a mod like yours soon enough. I love driving it. I still have to work out some clutch issues. I'd like more pedal throw in my hydraulic throwout bearing. I have an offset pushrod I'll try to see if I can get more length out of it.

That's a stock sway bar? It's rubbing on the TCP strut rod? I'm glad you like how it drives. Man, that's so exciting.
