Yeah I remember those. There were 2 Mavericks that come to mind....a green one with silver flames that had 2 fours sticking thru the hood and a blue drag car that had yosemite sam on the door.

I drove my Maverick there around 1991.....here it was with fresh paint ready for the trip. It actually ended up in a Mustang magazine that was covering the meet.

Tuned my car a little, put gas in it and drove to work, if I keep this up the clutch and transmission should have the 500 mile break in sometimes next week :thumbs2:

Fixed the backwards head gasket from the previous owner, put in a thermostat, installed a new 2 row aluminum radiator, and adjusted the carb properly....good times.

Oh wow, that's nice. You failed to reproduce the OEM rust protectant finish though; "Gloss Petroleum Grit Flake."

I usually call those EXTRA parts after I get my hands on a Maverick. Not many things I hate more than that mess of hoses and cylinders, and the eventual mess left on the driveway from them.

I hear that, if its not leaking it means its out of fluid. Im still considering a Rack Mod.
