Wired up the trunk wire harness. Need to pick up a fuse panel so I can start working on that so I can tear out the front lights and rewire those. Also need to move starter solinoid to the truck and prepare everything to put the batterys in the trunk as well.

As for a ground wire should I wire individual grounds or tie them all to one gtound location?

Going to go pick up some electrical wire and start wiring up the front end of the car. Is there any suggested gauge wire I should use for the starter solenoid?

Also, if anyone can answer my last two posts questions it would be very helpful. :)

Which wires you talking about for solenoid? I'd place solenoid close to starter so you dont have to run large cable from alternator back to trunk mounted battery. Cant think of good site right now telling what size wires to run, try del-city. Good supplier to look at anyway

Removed rear marker light assemblies, cleaned the rusty housings, refinished the inside bracket w/ Rust Encap and trunk paint. They look pretty gud.
I painted the outside plactic housing semi-blk. Im not sure if I'll leave them semi-blk; I have to get use to lookin at them. I had previously did the fronts.
Also, constructed a bracket to mount a 3rd. LED brake light in my backlite. Hope to have it working tommorrow.

there are advantages and disadvantages to having the solenoid up front or in the trunk.

if the solenoid is up front then the battery cable going from the trunk to the front of the car will have power on it. if it rubs on the car some where and shorts out then there will be a problem.

if you have the solenoid in the trunk then you need to run a large gage wire from the power post of the alt to the battery or battery side of the solenoid.

its really a matter of how you want it to look. the important thing is to make sure you use the correct wire for anticipated amperage loads and length of the wire and to have the right fuses and fuseable links in the best locations.

the body of the car works as a good ground. you just need to make sure the gounding wires and cables have really good metal to metal contact. puting start type lock washer
    [IMG]

will help garentee that there is good metal to metal contact.

the only things that you may want to ground strieght to the battery would be a fuel injection computer, stereo, stereo amp, and igniton box like a msd.

the battery works like a shock absorber for electricity. it will help prevent electrical noise to get to computers and absorb electrical noise created by ignition systems.

Cleaned it off and went for a beer run for me and Tim Hortons for the wife. Got a bunch of comments and questions and the Hortons girls come running to the drive thru window again to check it out. LOL. . It still amazes me how these cars turn heads.
