Yeah, and I wasn't even there! Stopped in a McDonalds for a cup of coffee, even parked out in an empty parking lot, and when I came out, the grill was busted, emblem on the ground, hood trim bent, hood has a small dimple, and bumper is out of square...don't know if it is bent or not. Hagerty says they will send someone out this week to take a look. Seems like every time this car gets out of the garage, someone wants to hit it! Oh well,

1972 mercury comet with a maverick front end. It has a 1992 5.0 motor in it.
Cut the hole in the firewall for the clutch master cylinder.

I wud have purchased one of the many harnessess frm one of the mfg's like Haywire or Kwikwire. It makes things much less complicated and less likely to make mistakes. I don't know what ur electrical experience/knowledge might be, whatever it is, these units makes the process easier.
If u don't mind me asking, why are u rewiring the car?

I had damaged wires all over the place and wanted to divid the car for different circuts. Also wanted to customize everything as far as toggle switches and different gauges as far as water temp oil pressure rpm mph and gas etc. doing a custom dash so the layout is going to be eay different. Last moving fuse panel to the back of the car as well as dual battery and starter solenoid in back of the trunk.

I have no knowledge. Teaching myself.

You might want to think about getting yourself a monster size fuse box to put in the trunk and throw that little glass fuse box in the garbage can. I got one like this on Ebay for about 10 bucks. It is from a Crown Vic Police Intercepter and was brand new. A police department was switching over to a front wheel drive police car and was selling off the spare parts. It has room for relays and spaide type fuses. It can cover just about anything electrical you can think of adding. Mine is going in my trunk also :)
