Nuthin to it Bro. I learned this trick from an "Old School" Hot Rodder, they did it alot back in the day on 57 chubbys, did it on my 57 wagon. They used to cut the vertical part off, then hammer the horizontal lip over. I decided to just cut the whole thing off, weld a bead and lead it in to smooth it out. Should go well with the shaved doors and Black Cherry Pearl paint, with Ford Metalic Carbon Accents, Dont Ya Think?:yahoo:

So what time is everyone heading to the track this weekend? You guys want to meet up for some coffee or something prior and head there in a caravan?

A Caravan of What? me following your work truck in my Focus? :rofl2: Ill probably leave the house at 8 and be at the track just before 9. Last time I tried to caravan with Gene I had to make an early morning alternator swap in the Checker parking lot. I swear these events are cursed.

Boy I am just the opposite of you guys, I am up at like 430 every morning like clock work :(

I am up at bell and grand just couple miles north of Tony's I think.

I going to try and go get my mustang Saturday morning, so I can make a few 15 second passes. Thats IF I have the motivation to drive up there. I have to drive 4 hours just to get home Friday after work, then go to a show that night. So Saturday may be a rough day :-/

If not make the wife drive to the track, I am sick of the truck LOL

BTW, If anyone wants to nuke anything there to eat, I do have a small microwave in the trailer that anyone is welcome to use. Probably can round up some forks and paper plates too. :)

I just read this on the Speedworld Facebook page...

Due to Mother Nature extended "summer" temperatures, Speedworld Dragstrip is postponing opening up for Sunday Drags for a few more weeks.

Ryan, do you know anything about this???

Ya Tony I was waiting for confirmation from Victoria this morning and it is for sure cancelled. For a state that has the best weather for car enthusiasts it sure is hard to get a meet togethor.
