Hey everyone. Bought a 66 v6 mustang. It was stalling at stop, but now it will not stay on unless Im stepping on the gas. I have to rev it and put it in drive or it shuts off. As soon as I take foot of gas it shuts off. I dont want to end up messing up the transmission aswell. When comming to stop must put in neutral and not let go of gas so it wont shut off. Any ideas or suggestions? This is starting to give me a head ache

the distributor could be loose or coming apart, causing the timing to slip.
or the carb may need some adjustments to the float level, may have something stuck in its needle and seat, or it could be something else
