    I remember those days too, I was lucky enough to have a buddy who's father owned a gas station.. I got all the gas I needed after hours, never once waited in line....

    i absolutely love the pics in the snow.i remember running late for school and scratching maybe a 4x4 hole in my windshield with my school id so id make it to school on time.i'd be just starting to warm up when id pull in the school lot.good days.couldnt see squat.just drivin

    I always look out for Mavericks/Comets when viewing old photos.

    I love those. Vintage photos. Couldn't find the maverick on the one with the trolleys though.

    :huh: Thats wierd, I dont see one either. And I posted it! Someone must have sent it to me thinking the yellow car was a Maverick, but its obviously not. I am ashamed of myself for posting it.:cry:

    that pict from face book page 2 ..must have been a Ford town! 5 or 6 fords I counted just casually in the foreground mav, 2 pintos and a Fairlane ( or ranchero) and a galaxie? and is that a torino right behind it ?

    Here's one I'm gonna break the rules with. My dad's 70 Maverick taken in the very early 80s just after he sold it. Check out the trucks on the lot where he worked. That car was hit in the quarter by a train....yes a train...when it was brand new. Dad bought it and replaced the lt qtr, rear panel and replaced a few other damaged parts so I guess you could say he had it since new...nearly.

    He sold it shortly after and I've only seen it once since....about 1996. I t still looked the same other than the wheels and even still had a Mickey Mouse magnet on the dash where dad put it when we went to Disneyworld.



    Btw....can you guess what his next car was? ;)
