I don't know if there's an easier way, but here's how to do it: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/25685/how-to-make-an-rss-feed-from-a-forum-thread/
I have enabled RSS and XML feeds on the forum RSS Code: http://mmb.maverick.to/external.php?type=rss http://mmb.maverick.to/external.php?type=rss1 http://mmb.maverick.to/external.php?type=rss2 XML Code: http://mmb.maverick.to/external.php?type=xml If you only want the latest posts from certain forums, you can add the forum IDs to the above URLs as follows Code: &forumids=2,17 EG Code: http://mmb.maverick.to/external.php?type=rss2&forumids=2,17 The above will select posts from the "General Maverick/Comet" and "Site News, Feedback, Forum Suggestions and Help" forums. To get the forumids, go to the forum you want, (EG:"General Maverick/Comet" ) and the number you see after the f= in the url is the forum id. Code: http://mmb.maverick.to/forumdisplay.php?f=2
Thanks Stefan!! The reason I asked is because I use a rss reader that displays right on my desk top. No window to open, the feed/list will just be part of my background to click on.
Sure, I haven't gotten the "native" XML to work, but the example of the new comet/maverick post worked well. Attached is my desktop. You will see the RSS feed above the roof of the first car. Any subject is clickable to bring up the page on mmb. I have 2 different sized monitors (22" LCD and 21 CRT) that's why you see 2 cars and the mismatched size.
