After a 10 year interruption, I finally started working on my 1970 Maverick again. Here are some pics of the state it was in a few months ago. Before the long interruption, we had connected the subframes and notched the shock towers. Originally this car was a 6 cylinder, 3 on the tree, 4 lug wheels. It will be a 351W with a C4.
looks like you got some more work ahead of you with the battery tray, or lack of lol. same as my car was..this was the funnest part for me, the tear town and start to patch things back up. good luck..looks pretty solid besides the usual tray.
Battery Tray Repair completed I am actually a little further along than my first post indicated. I intended to post a follow up right away, but that didn't quite happen. I have already repaired the battery tray. Since I plan to move the battery to the trunk, I decided to get rid of the tray altogether. Now I am putting the front suspension back together along with a disc brake conversion.

Well, it seems to match all of the grabber features except for the headlight doors. One of the front fenders was obviously replaced at some point since it is missing the stripe, so maybe they replaced both headlights to match?
Very possible. So it has the rear spoiler, all black interior, and the tail panel is painted black? The hood doesn't have the correct 1970 Grabber stripe.
Yes, it has the all black interior. The rear is a little more interesting, as you can see, the spoiler is there, but it seems to have been painted black on top of the original color and much of the black has come off. Is it possible that it was painted orange under black from the factory?
