I've bought 3 vintage Tennessee license plates but this is the best one. Still new in the wrapper. Here in Tn you can register a vintage plate to your car but it can only be driven on the weekends. I'm gonna go for that for now but I may change my mind later.

Changed my mind on the old tags. Antique tags in Tn mean your car is for weekend use only....shows and parades. I figure I'll probably drive more than that and I don't need to get hassled by the cops. So I got it registered...first time since 1993 and it's no longer in my dads name. Finally officially my car even though I've had it since 1983. :)

Next on the agenda is to get one side of my garage straightened out so I'll have room to work on the Mav this winter. It was a disaster but I threw out a bunch of crap, stored some and piled the rest on my Mustang. (if you look at this pic you can actually see the original powder blue paint on the bottom of the drip rails...opps I forgot to paint those lol)

And since I've started patching the quarters I replaced my old flux core wire welder with a new MIG.

Those are the after pics...you wouldn't have wanted to see the before pics! :biglaugh:

You can also see in the pics I have a thing for old Snap On tool boxes. I got the one out in the garage from a pawn shop for $40.00. I just ordered a bunch of 60s & 70s racing decals for it...should be cool.

If that deal on the box at Lowes doesn't work out, Black Friday is around the corner, and for the past few years, Lowes has had really good deals on rolling tool boxes. They are an odd name brand, but that is how I got mine.

Probably am getting to the point where I should add another layer to my set ... Nature hates a vacuum ... after 5 years mine is pretty full.

Members here pointed out that I had the wrong turn signal lenses in my car so I've been looking for some clear ones. No luck even after posting a wanted add here. Then a member made me a deal on some NOS ones. More than I wanted to spend on 2 pieces of plastic but I had some mad money. What the heck.

You should have mentioned something about decals......I have a big box full of them ! I used to work for a wire wheel company in Dayton, Ohio and we would get passes to the P.R.I. show in Indy. Every vendor in the racing world was there handing out free stuff and we would load up on it!

Trying to make a deal on a new project this week....a solid 2 dr Fairlane. :dancing:

The bad is that it's sort of a granny mobile so it has a few dents but it is perfectly driveable, good glass, bumpers and dash. I'll know by Turkey day.

It is a 68 formal roof similar to this:

Got a stock stg wheel from moneymaker today like the one my car had on it. Changed my mind about the Grant for now. Gonna fill the cracks and maybe put a cover on.
