    Thanks Guys.
It's got some bugs to work out but pretty clean over all. Not sure if I can find out if the 58k is real but it looks like it. Original owner was a lady in Ohio - got the Ford OwnersCard with the steel plate in the glove box.
Idle is shaky, and as I posted in the General Section the throttle cable started sticking on the way home from Boston which turned out to be a frayed cable, steering box is loose, my dad says we need to get the handling under control cuz it was a nightmare driving it home in the wind. Brakes are ok but barely sufficient and warped going down the mountain with the throttle cable stuck partly open - on the other hand we had cruise control at 65mph
Don't plan to drive it thru winter. Would be a shame to wreck it after it survived all these yrs.
Will likely drive my dad's truck or mom's Lincoln in the winter.

hey and welcome form tennessee! i got my 74' mav when i was 16 and im only 17 haha! mines the exact same as yours when it comes to engines and whatnot. urs looks really good by the way. my mav was a nightmare to drive home but i still drove it everywhere. got into a wreck one morning as my mom took me to catch the bus (my school reuires a parking pass thts only sold at the begining of the year and i got my car after tht) and did a 180 into a tree in a ditch, messd up the driver side fender and rocking panel bad as well as the anti-sway bar all because the rear drumbrakes dyaphrams were busted and only the front brakes worked. not only tht but when u hit the brakes it wrenches the steering wheel right. now im workin on the electronics of the car which for so few r giving me heck heheh. but i no urs is prolly in much better shape than mine is so fix it now and love it forever :) im going to college in june 2012 at wyotech for collision repair and custom hotrod fab so i shouldnt have a problem fixing it when i get out hehe and if u need anythin, from a fellow youngster as these old guys put it, just let me know

ps. sorry for rambling and telling my life story lol
