First things first, is the carpet still in the car ? If so, take it out. Then cut and raise the trans tunnel, if you want i can get the exact raise i used off mine, i would not recomend installing a T-5 without raising the tunnel, you want to keep drive shaft angle correct.

71Gold makes a very nice tubular crossmember. Having both built a custom one, and used his (two separate cars) I highly recommend buying his. What type of clutch setup do you plan on using?

LOL, Ok, did you cut the whole top out ? The easiest way is to cut down the sides of the tunnel and cut the rear, leaving the front part of the tunnel attached, this way you only raise the rear and only have 3 sides to weld. but if you cut the whole thing out we can work with that to.

Drive shaft. Do you have the drive shafts for both cars ?

I just cut the top out. Its not a big worry to me. I am pretty skilled at fab work. As the same for the crossmember i will fab my own once i have the trans set where it should be and can get the measurements. I am goin with the cable clutch. Personal preference to that

And i only have the stock mav driveshaft. It was a factory 200ci 3 speed car

Man i'm thinking that shaft should work, do you have the T-5 installed in the car yet ?

From bellhousing to end of tailshaft what the differance between the Trans you currently have and the T-5 ? length wise.

xmember issue there, not a biggie though, the most you MAY have to do is get a yoke off a stang drive shaft, it may be a shorter yoke than the mav shaft yoke.

Yeah ill be able to build one no problem. I just need to know about the height that the trans should be in relation to the floorboard or somethin. The drive shaft angle

Here's the way ----> I did it ( not saying this is the correct way ). I had a Mav 3 spd manual xmember and a Mav C4 member. With the T-5 installed i just eyeballed the level of the motor --- fan to radiator is important keep it square, (its a cooling fan not an airplane perpeller) lol.:biglaugh:

Once i was happy with the level, i cut the exposed ears off the 3 speed xmember, i used the C4 xmember cut the RH side ears off of it --- installed it -- then bolted the ears of the 3 speed member to the car and welded to C4 xmember. Wa-La, 1 full xmember.
