I got the transmission in and bolted to the crossmember now. Pulled the carpet and cut the hole in the floor for the shifter. I sold the power Lincoln seats and have the Mach I high back buckets back in, well the passenger side is in, waiting to finish the hydraulics to put in the drivers seat. Got the driveshaft in and the header and exhaust all back in place. Its looks pretty complete, just waiting for the slave cylinder bracket and then need to make the hoses for the hydraulic clutch system. I also removed all the fuel system stuff. So now I need to bolt in a mechanical pump also before its road worthy. It was a fun productive day in the garage. I think I just might have it on the road by the end of the year. Just need to find more than one day every other week to work on it.
Sounds like my life. 1 day every other week to work on my car. Too many Funerals and Birthday Parties. I give up Ill try to work on my car after Christmas.
I invited you guys to the track saturday. :Handshake The weather was perfect. I won the trophy class. It would have been fun.
Okay...when is the next time any of you Desert racers are going to be at the track? The holidays are looking to be pretty busy...but you never know...it would be nice to see some of these moving!
I was actually going to get off my @$$ and try to fix my ac/heater box and my windshield wiper arm this last couple days and it decides to rain on the one time I get two days off in a row... figures
I think he was running the stock Maverick Sprint...not the race car. Robbie, from the website I took that that event was by invitation..
Yep, I won it with the Sprint. Gene, it was a King of The Track race but they also had test and tune and trophy. I beat my wife in the final...LOL she red lit.
Taking my time puttting the stroker togeather. Found a few things I didn't like. Nothing bad. Had to deburr some parts and the rings have to be filed. Just want to do it right and make it last.
